Why Have Roles? #

Users must have a role. Each role has a set of permissions that gives the user the right to perform an action in the system.

Note: Please see 7.1 for how to add a user

The Organisation Admin Role #

The first system user is automatically set up as an ‘Organisation Admin’. There can be more than one ‘Organisation Admin’. The first ‘Organisation Admin’ can set up the second Organisation Admin. Each Organisation Admin has access to every screen and feature including ‘My organisation’ (which holds sensitive data like payment details etc.). Organisation Admins can create a user with any role type (including Organisation Admin).

If you are looking for an all-encompassing role profile but without the ‘My Organisation’ screen (which sets the subscription/payment functionality) use the ‘All’ profile below.

The Operations Management Role #

The Operations Management Role provides access to every screen and feature except the ‘My Organisation’ screen (which sets the subscription/payment functionality).

The Surveyor Role #

A Surveyor has full access to the Brightchecker App.

Dashboard access is very restricted. See Dashboard screenshot below.

  • The Jobs list will display those jobs that have been assigned to that user.
  • The surveyor may change their password in the My Account area.
  • The surveyor can log out of the dashboard using the person icon top right.

The Report Builder Role #

A Report Builder has access to everything except My Organisation and Create Users.

The Survey Builder Role #

A Survey Builder has access to everything except My Organisation, Create Users, and report builder.

The Report Generator Role #

A Report Generator has access to everything except My Organisation, Create Users, Survey Builder, and Report Builder.
